抄録

A load-measuring device comprised an inner part forming a metal core, a force transducer (Kistler Instrument AG), and an outer part forming a metal crown was developed and applied to a tooth for measuring functional load in vivo. The 3-D direction of the load on a tooth during clenching changed as the magnitude increased. It enabled time series measurement of the 3-D dynamic compressive and tractive load on a tooth, during functions in vivo, which might help to clarify the biomechanical characteristics of the stomatognathic system.
