Three patients presented with only mass lesion without signs of cerebral ischemia. In two cases, an aneurysm occurred immediate above the carotid bifurcation, and the definite diagnosis was made by means of digital subtraction angiography (DSA). The other case had a giant aneurysm in the parapharyngeal space, which was embolized successfully with platinum microcoils under DSA. We emphasize that care must be taken for severe complications such as embolization, thrombosis and rupture during the course of the disease.
