抄録

The 4d→4f, ε{lunate}f absorption spectra have been measured for La, LaF₃, Ba and BaF₂. The spectral line shapes are appreciably dependent on the degree of localization of the contracted 4f states. Considerable difference in 4f states has been found between amorphous BaF₂ and poly- or single-crystalline BaF₂.
