Superconductivity in heavy fermions and high Tc oxides: Similarity and dissimilarity

It has been found that the nuclear relaxation rate 1 T1 of Cu in the CuO2 plane of high-Tc oxides is dominated by the antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation among nearly localized d-holes, while 1 T1 of 17O enriched in the high-Tc oxides is similar to that for the conventional superconductor, manifesting a distinct enhancement just below Tc. It is pointed out that the superconducting property possess different character in the heavy fermion and the high Tc compounds.
