The solubility of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in isooctane, n-decane, n-tridecane, n-hexadecane and squalane has been experimentally determined for the temperature range 323-523 K and pressures up to 1.6 MPa. Henry's constants have been determined from the solubility data according to the Krichevsky-Kasanovsky equation. The Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) and the Peng-Robinson (PR) equations of state were used to calculate the solubility data. The binary interaction parameter of the PR equation was correlated with the ratio of the critical volumes of H2S and hydrocarbons.
