Sealing technique for infrared hollow fibers

抄録

A sealing technique to protect the inner surface of the medical hollow fibers from debris or water scattered from targets was proposed. A film of fluorocarbon polymer with low absorption and high mechanical strength was chosen for sealing the hollow fibers. The method for the formation of the sealing film and the optical properties of the sealed hollow fibers were also described. A sealing cap of pyrex glass was also tested and showed higher power stability.
