抄録

In the presence of catalytic amounts of RhH(PPh3)4 and 1,2- bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe), ketones reacted with o-difluorobenzenes giving benzofurans in high yields. The ?-arylation of ketones and furan cyclization proceeded without using a base. Benzofuran cyclization was applied to substituted pentafluorobenzenes to give 6-substituted-4,5,7- trifluorobenzofuranes.
