Turbulence in the canine ascending aorta is a nonstationary stochastic process. The turbulent intensity increased up to maximum and gradually decreased. In this paper the authors have calculated and compared some parameters in each phase. It was shown that the skewness and the flatness factor in the developing phase were larger than those in the decaying phase in most cases. It was found that the first and the second characteristic frequency in the developing phase were also larger than those in the decaying phase.
