The hybrid magnet project at Tohoku University was almost constructed successfully. Three hybrid magnets were constructed, producing up to 20. 5 T, 23. 2 T and 30. 7 T, respectively. The latter consists of a NbTi plus Nb//3Sn superconducting magnet and a polyhelix-type water-cooled magnet. The former contributes 11. 1 T and the latter 19. 6 T in a clear bore of 32 mm in diam. These magnets have been used for the measurements of high field properties of various materials, especially of the upper critical field and the critical current of superconducting materials.
