N2 - Polarimetric and Interferometric radar technologies can be applied not only to airborne and space-borne SAR systems, but to any other configuration of radar systems. We have studied advanced use of GB-SAR (Ground Based SAR) and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) systems, and found these techniques be very promising. Compared to conventional SAR systems, GB-SAR and GPR can acquired very wide-band frequency data, consequently we can obtain higher resolution images. In this paper, we demonstrate an examples of Polarimetric GB-SAR applied to rice paddy field. We found HH component shows significant change dependent on the growth stage of rice, and these phenomena can be also observed even in reconstructed SAR images using narrow frequency bandwidth.
