Phonon and two-magnon Raman scattering in Pb2Sr2Ho(Y)1-xCaxCu 3O8+δ

The temperature dependence of phonon energies and widths in Pb2Sr2Ho(Y)1-xCaxCu 3O8-δ is investigated by Raman scattering. No mode shows an anomaly at the superconducting transition temperature (Tc). The 320 cm-1 B1g mode does not show an anomaly above Tc. The exchange energy is estimated as 900 cm-1 from the two-magnon scattering of x = 0.
