title = "Numerical Simulations of Wave Generation by Differently-Configured EMATs",
abstract = "An electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) generates ultrasonic waves using the electromagnetic interaction and does not require a coupling medium. The final goal of this study is to provide a method to optimize the configuration of an EMAT for obtaining a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). As the first step, this paper shows the results of numerical simulations performed to seek an EMAT configuration that makes shear waves or longitudinal waves dominant.",
