抄録
A design principle of information provision system called cognitive diversity is described in this article. The main aim of the design is to provide an improved support for operators of a complex artifact facing to unfamiliar events. The design principle was materialized as a prototype system called structured functional display and was implemented for a nuclear plant simulator. The concept of structural functional display was judged to be highly promising through empirical evaluation.
