The purpose of this study is to measure the unsteady force acting on a slender delta wing in two degree-of-freedom (DoF) motion. A serialtype robot manipulator was used to oscillate the model in two modes; one is roll-yaw coupled lateral motion and the other is pitch-heave coupled longitudinal motion. Unsteady forces and moments were measured by a six-component balance and the effects of oscillation frequency and amplitude were evaluated. In the 2-DoF roll-yaw coupled mode, hysteresis loop was noted at high angles of attack and changes of rolling moment are delayed as compared with the 1-DoF case. In the pitch-heave coupled experiment, it was found that the effect of pitch rate on unsteady force is negligible at the frequency and amplitude ranges covered in this experiment.
