Moisturizing Effect on the Stratum Corneum of Skin Lotion Containing Egg Shell and Membrane Powder Evaluated by High Frequency Conductance in Healthy Human Volunteers

We studied moisturizing effect of skin lotion containing glycerol and egg shell and membrane powder on the stratum corneum in twenty healthy volunteers aged 20-40 years. High frequency conductance was measured before its application and 1, 30, 60, 90 and 120-min post application of test materials. Since high frequency conductance levels after the skin lotion containing egg shell and membrane powder were as high as those of Hirudoid(r) ointment applied sites at 120min, the skin lotion containing egg shell and membrane powder was confirmed to have a good moisturizing effect on the stratum corneum in vivo.
