抜粋

A modified split-sphere (MSS) guide-block system has been developed for practical operation of the multiple anvil 6-8 (MA8) high-pressure apparatus. This system minimizes misalignment of the guide blocks due to their displacement and/or rotation during experimental runs, and enables pressures up to 25 GPa and temperature exceeding 2000 degree C to be generated with a relatively small (1200 ton) hydraulic press. This has allowed relevant geological phase equilibria to be successfully determined on a routine basis in a pressure and temperature regime of major petrogenetic significance.
