N2 - Amount of glutathione adsorbed on the Au/γ-Fe2O 3 composite nanoparticles, which were synthesized by gamma-ray irradiation, was measured by a magnetic separation technique in an aqueous phase. The affinity between gold and GSH was not spoiled at all even when the gold particles are supported on the surface of γ-Fe2O 3. The Au/γ-Fe2O3 composite nanoparticles prepared without polyvinyl alcohol were found to separate much more amount of glutathione than that with it.
