抄録

This paper is concerned with the role of the central nervous system in predictive control functions. To evaluate a human operator's function effectively, his compensation characteristics for time delay in a compensatory manual control system with a random step input have been obtained. The effect of two central nervous system diseases, Parkinsonism and cerebellar ataxia, on the predictive control function is discussed from the viewpoint of the change of frequency responses, coherency function, and so on. Futhermore, the hypothesis that human predictive control behavior is produced by means of a process model in the motor coordination system is examined by comparing the data of patients and normal subject groups.
