Recent results from KamLAND, including reactor neutrino and preliminary geoneutrino data, are reviewed. The re-purification of the scintillator performed between 2007 and 2009 has been found quite effective for the reduction of geoneutrino background. KamLAND-Zen (KamLAND Zero-Neutrino double-beta decay search) is the next plan of KamLAND utilizing 400 kg of ¹³⁶Xe dissolved into the liquid scintillator. The R&D and construction status is reviewed.
