The C_2v isomer of Co(1,2-Nc-C_2v) (1,2-Nc = 1,2-naphthalocyaninato) has been isolated by fractional crystallization of the crude mixture of four isomers (C_4h, C_s, C_2v, D_2h), and its crystal structure, electronic absorption, and magnetic circular dichromism have been discussed.
