抄録
The Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS) has long been developing and launching Mu satellite launchers for its own scientific mission. M-V is the next generation vehicle expected to be a work horse for Japanese scientific missions beyond late 1990s. It is a three staged, solid propellant rocket with 2ton class launch capability into LEO. Its development is under way toward the revised first launch date in 1996. Also the research and development of an air-turbo ramjet engine are going on with successful sea level tests.
