N2 - In order to elucidate the electric properties of CuI phases under high pressures and high temperatures, both DC and AC measurements were attempted up to 9 GPa and 1250 K, together with in-situ X-ray diffraction observations for the phase identifications. Super ionic conductivity of 1∼3 Ω-1 cm-1 was first measured for three high-pressure and high-temperature phases: the α-AgI-type phase, the disordered zincblende-type phase, and the disordered rocksalt-type phase. The activation energy of super ionic conductivity is around 0.2 eV for these phases. The electric conductivity does not vary at the temperature induced phase transition between disordered zincblende-type and α-AgI-type phases.
