N2 - The C-band (5712 MHz) accelerating system will be used as the main accelerator for the XFEL/SPring-8 project. In order to confirm the performance of the C-band accelerator for the 8 GeV XFEL machine, the same accelerating structure and RF system have been installed in the SCSS prototype accelerator. The C-band accelerator performance has been investigated at the prototype machine.
