The patient, an 84-year-old female, was admitted because of very large calcification in the left parietal love. 1) A case of pathologically confirmed benign meningioma with massive calcification is introduced as a case of brain stone arising from this tumor. 2) The suitability of the term brain stone is discussed. 3) The course of the disease had been observed for 15 years since the first examination with biopsy only, and the growth of the tumor was. 4) At present, patient is performing daily living activities without epileptic seizures and other difficulties. 5) This case strongly suggests that, we must be careful in deciding whether or not surgical intervention is indicated, since benign meningiomas grow slowly like this case (from 0-6 cm to 2.1 cm in diameter during 12 years).
