N2 - We report on Fe42Co42Nb7B 8Cu1 nanocrystalline alloy with improved soft-magnetic properties, high Curie temperature and low high-frequency core loss. By annealing Fe42Co42Nb7B8Cu 1 amorphous precursor at 873 K for 3.6 ks, α′-(Fe,Co) nanocrystalline phase with diameter of 5 nm precipitated from the amorphous matrix, yielding an Fe42Co42Nb7B 8Cu1 nanocrystalline alloy. The resulting Fe 42Co42Nb7B8Cu1 nanocrystalline alloy exhibits a high saturation magnetization of 1.87 T, low coercive force of 42 A/m, very high Curie temperature of 1240 K, as well as low core loss of 0.77 W/g at 10 kHz under a field of 1 T.
