Fabrication of tissue compatible phospholipid polymer matrix for 3D cell culture

Recently, tissue engineering scaffolds are investigated from various biological materials. In this study, we use a phospholipid polymer (PMBN) composed of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine (MPC), n-butyl methacrylate (BMA), and p-nitrophenyloxycarbonyl poly(oxyethylene)methacrylate (MEO 2NP). PMBN hydrogel was fabricated by reaction with Bis (3-aminopropyl) poly (ethylene oxide) , in order to achieve a novel polymer matrix for cell culture that enables to control cell adhesions. The PMBN hydrogel has uniform several micrometers porous texture, therefore , PMBN hydrogel conjugated the adhesion molecule, Arg-Gly-Asp-Ser(RGDS), would become novel scaffold for 3D cell culture.
