The fabrication of three-dimensional nanostructures using reactive polymer nanosheets was demonstrated. Fine and negative-tone patterns of (poly(N-dodecylacrylamide)-methacryl) (pDDA-M) nanosheets obtained by photopatterning were also studied. Photopattern formation was also evidenced by UV absorption spectra measurements. The effect of the irradiation time of deep UV light on the film thickness of the pDDA-M nanosheets after immersion and sonication in chlorofom was observed. The resulting patterns maintained their film thicknesses smoothly on the nanoscale, and displayed interference color corresponding to each film thickness, similar to structural colors, observed in Nature.
