Fabrication and C₆₀ nanocrystals with several morphology

Shape-controllable fullerene nanocrystals have been successfully fabricated by the reprecipitation method. C₆₀ solution was simply injected into the organic poor solvent, and the resulting C₆₀ nanocrystals were prepared as dispersion. The size and morphology, which are evaluated by the SEM, were dependent on concentration and solvent combination (both of good and poor solvents). The various types of C₆₀ nanocrystals such as octahedron, hexagon and rod-like structure were found by changing the reprecipitation conditions. The powder X-ray refractive diffraction patterns of C₆₀ nanocrystals suggested that most of their structure is the fcc. Details of the preparation processes will be reported.
