抄録

A novel morphological algorithm for the damage assessment of RC wall is proposed. Using the algorithm, the crack width distribution characteristics which is defined as the ratio of crack length with each crack width class to the total crack length is obtained. As a result, the following 3 aspects are revealed. 1. Detailed crack width distribution characteristics is available through a novel morphological algorithm. 2. Crack width distribution of RC wall has the lognormal distribution as same as other type of RC members. 3. The variance of crack width distribution of RC wall is smaller than that of RC beam.
