N2 - Aiming at the fabrication of thin single crystal of polydiacetylene towards nonlinear optical device applications, epitaxial growth of several diacetylene monomers, from their molten state, on the single crystal of a well-known polydiacetylene, i.e., poly-PTS was investigated. It has been found that the poly-PTS crystal works as the substrate of epitaxial growth not only for the PTS monomer but also for two other monomers.
