Electron transfer between fullerene and polysilanes

抄録

The photoinduced electron transfer between C70 and σ-conjugated polysilanes in solutions was investigated by laser flash photolysis. The absorption band of3C70* at 960 nm was quenched effectively in the presence of poly(methylphenylsilylene) (PMePhSi), and new absorption band which can be assigned to the radical cation of PMePhSi appeared. The electron transfer rate constant from PMePhSi to3C70* was determined to be 1.90*108 (M-1s-1) based on the concentration of Si-repeating unit by pseudo-first-order plots of3C70*.
