Effects of combustion and shock impingement on supersonic film cooling by hydrogen

Supersonic film cooling was numerically investigated by considering combustion of hydrogen as a coolant, temperature fluctuations and shock wave impingement The combustion region was formed apart from the wall and the heat release from the flame was little. Therefore, the combustion of hydrogen had weak influence on the characteristics of the film cooling. Also, the ignition location moved upstream considerably by considering the temperature fluctuations. However, the cooling efficiency did not change so much. In addition, the effect of the shock impingement on the film cooling by hydrogen was almost same as it of non-reactive coolant such as nitrogen.
