N2 - The present paper aims to propose a method of analysis based on an unsteady cavity flow model for the dynamic transfer characteristics and to clarify the frequency response of unsteady pressure rise and flow rate, and also two factors - cavitation compliance and mass flow gain factor in relation to the dynamic behaviour of unsteady cavity. Some comparisons with the former theories are made to point out their defects. (from paper)
