We evaluated the density of the liver and focal hepatic lesions in 13 cases of glycogen storage disease by CT scans. The liver parenchyma showed various density on precontrast CT scans. Multiple focal lesions were demonstrated in four cases. We diagnosed as adenomas in three cases. Most adenomas were well enhanced on postcontrast CT scans. Spontaneous regression with/without intratumoral hemorrhage was noted. One lesion enlarged and was diagnosed as hepatocellular carcinoma pathologically. MRI with superparamagnetic iron oxide was more useful rather than CT.
