The compression creep properties for the nickel (Ni) added iridium-based two-phase refractory superalloys were investigated at 1800°centigrade under 137 MPa. Samples were examined using scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. Creep strain was determined by a CCD camera and by measuring the load-strain displacement. Results indicated that creep resistance improved due to addition of 1 at.% Ni due to lattice misfit decrease and change in crack behavior.
