Deep seawater contains rich nutrients. Stommel et al. proposed the notion of a "perpetual salt fountain" in 1956. They have noted the possibility of a permanent upwelling of deep seawater with no additional, external energy source. The nutrient-rich deep seawater is upwelled by the perpetual salt fountain, which increases phytoplankton in the epipelagic area and then sea plant fields will be formed in the area. We have succeeded to obtain the perpetual salt fountain by an ocean experiment and measured upwelling velocity. This result shows that the creation of ocean forest may be realized in the ocean.
