The controlled decoherence of a charge qubit in a double quantum dot (DQD) was investigated. The energy bias and strength of the decoherence of the system were controlled with a high speed voltage pulse. The dissipative tunneling processes in the single-electron tunneling regime strongly affected the qubit, which was effectively isolated from the electrodes in the Coulomb blockade regime. Density matrix simulations were used to analyze the controlled decoherence of the charge qubit.
