Controllability of phase-matching property of K3Li2-xNb5+xO15+2x single crystal fibers

抄録

Potassium-lithium-niobate (KLN) can have useful applications for second harmonic generation (SHG) blue laser because of its excellent features such as a large nonlinear coefficient, high optical damage resistance, and wide noncritical phase-matching characteristics at room temperature. The controllability of the phase-matching property of the μ-pulling-down-grown KLN single crystal is dependent on the starting-melt composition and the pulling down rate. The SHG phase-matching can be achieved from 800 to 920 nm and the second-harmonic blue laser with wavelength from 400 to 460 nm can be generated.
