Characterization of coal char reactivity by transient kinetics technique

抄録

Coal char reactivity can be determined by both the intrinsic reaction rate and the number of active sites. The authors modified the transient technique to evaluate intrinsic rate constants, as well as the number of working active sites from the dynamic change of carbon monoxide concentration, Cco, after initiating or terminating carbon dioxide gasification. The present method was effectively used for the combined interpretation of both the reactivity and its change with increasing conversion of five different chars which are different in nature and origin.
