N2 - Carbon enrichment in austenite after the cessation of bainite transformations in an Fe-3Mn-0.08C alloy was measured by FE-EPMA. The carbon content in austenite is lower than paraequilibrium composition, and undercoolings from paraequilibrium model vary from 400 to 1000 J/mol, while carbon contents are higher than those predicted by negligible partitioning local equilibrium model. On the other hand, it was found that undercoolings from T0 composition are nearly the constant, 400 J/mol, at the temperatures investigated.
