In this study, we demonstrate that a different adsorption film of octyltrieth oxysilane (OS) or fluoro-containing octylethoxysilane (FAS13) was formed on a photopatterned poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) surface as a permeation-blocking layer. A toluene solution containing Au nanoparticles could seep site-selectively out of the PDMS membranes with patterned adsorption films, and Au-nanoparticle micropatterns were obtained on a solid substrate by transcription. These adsorption films worked as permeation-blocking layers. The Au-nanoparticle micropattern made from the FAS13-modified PDMS membrane showed a structure similar to a photomask shape. It is suggested that lipophobicity due to fluoro groups suppressed spread of the toluene ink on transcription.
