We investigated and analyzed prehospital and intrahospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care for CPA patients using the Utstein template at east Iburi area in Hokkaido for 2 years. Incident of DC counter shock for Vf patients, using of laryngeal mask, Combitube or WB tube, and intravenous cannulation at the stage of prehospital care were 88%, 20% and 3%, respectively. Survival rates at the emergency room and after two weeks were 22% and 7%, respectively. To increase the survival rate at the time of the hospital discharge in good cerebral performance, prehospital medical care team and intrahospital doctors should relate more tightly, and general people had better learn CPR and AED technique.
