N2 - A method for remote and non-contact measurement of autonomic nervous system indices and blood pressure information has been developed by extracting video pulse waves using an ordinary video camera. For robust and accurate measurement, it is necessary to separate the face and hand from the video image. In this study, we proposed a method to automatically set the optimal separation condition by combining face detection method and skin area detection method. It was ascertained that the proposed method was valid under sufficiently bright environment without other skin colored objects.
