An experimental study on the fluidity of antiwashout underwater concrete

抄録

This paper shows that the fluidity of antiwashout underwater concrete can be estimated from the volume fraction of coarse aggregate and the mortar flow. A reasonable mix design can be made with only rheological data of mortar and data on coarse aggregate, which can reduce the tremendous task of trial mix to make a reasonable mix design. This paper also shows that if the mortar flow was more than 250 mm or the viscosity of mortar was less than 8 MPa, the segregation resistance of the concrete may not be satisfactory. It also shows a difference between the properties of mortar mixed with and without coarse aggregate.
