This paper reports on amyloidoma (amyloid tumor) of the lung of a 46-year-old male. The patient was diagnosed as having asymptomatic coin lesions in the right middle and the left upper lobe and received a partial lobectomy for suspected malignancy. Histochemical and ultrastructural analysis showed the tumors consisted of amyloid substance, and an immunohistochemical study revealed this amyloid property was L light chain of the immunoglobulin. In this paper we discuss the pathogenesis of localized amyloid deposition of lung and review related literature.
