The in-situ measurement of the structure of liquid xLi2O+(1.0-x)B2O3 (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.25, 0.33, 0.4 and 0.5) has been made using a high temperature X-ray diffraction method, and the structural parameters in the near neighbor region were estimated by applying the interference function refining technique. The local structure around boron appears to change by the addition of L12o.This suggests that a part of boron changes its position so as to form the tetrahedral coordination of oxygen at the expense of the typical trigonal arrangement well recognized in liquid B2O3.
