ASCA detected X-ray flux from 3CR184 region of 1.2 × 10-13 erg/s/cm2/(0.7-10 keV), which corresponds to the luminosity of 7.1 × 1044 erg/s/(1.4-20 keV) in the rest frame (H0 = 50 km/s/Mpc). This luminosity is consistent with the mass estimate by the gravitational lens arc and galaxy velocity dispersion. The hard spectrum indicates some contribution from the type-2 AGN. Some of the X-ray might come from the radio galaxy, and some would come from the cluster hot gas. The X-ray spectrum is poor, but it is consistent with this picture.
