Abstract
Wavepacket motion of self-trapped excitons (STE) was observed under excitation by positively and negatively chirped pulses in molecular aggregate of one-dimensional metal complex. Negatively chirped excitation enhances the ocsillative signal due to the wavepacket motion. This shows that the time evolution of the STE wavepacket is affected by the chirp of the excitation pulses.
