Abstract
Phytochemical investigation on oligostilbenes in a methanol extract of Vitis coignetiae (Japanese name: yama-budou) stem barks led to the isolation of novel oxidative resveratrol tetramer and trimer named vitisins D and E, respectively. The structures of the oligostilbenes were characterized on the basis of spectroscopic evidence.
