Abstract
A 52-year-old Japanese man complained of headache and general fatigue and a marked eosinophilia was evident. An immunological investigation revealed a visceral larva migrans by Toxocara cati (T. cati). Thiabendazole therapy was prescribed and the clinical and serological tests showed an improvement in the clinical condition. To our knowledge this is only the second such occurrence in humans. Increased attention should be directed to the possibility of infections by T. cati.
